Ideagen Go licencing model
Who is this article for?
Users interested in learning more about Ideagen Go.
No elevated access or permissions are required.
Ideagen Go is sold as a named-user service. Each person who needs access to the system requires their own licence, and that licence is tied to them individually rather than to a shared login or a pool of seats.
This article explains what that means in practice, how user roles work and how to make changes to the users on your account.
Named-user licences
A named-user licence grants one specific person access to your Ideagen Go instance. Licences cannot be shared between people or transferred to a different user without going through your account management team. The number of licences on your account determines how many individual users can be active at any one time.
If a member of your team leaves and is replaced, the licence can be reassigned to the new user — but this change needs to be requested through your account manager rather than made directly in the system.
User roles
Each named user is assigned a role when their account is set up. The role controls which parts of the system they can access and what actions they can take. Casper Go! has four role types:
Admin users have full access to the system, including configuration settings, complaint management, reports and dashboards. Admin users can also add and manage other users within the application.
Manager users have access to operational functions including flights, complaints, reports and dashboards, but do not have access to system-level configuration.
External users have a more limited view, typically used for stakeholders outside your core operations team who need read access to specific dashboards or reports.
The Casper role is used by the Ideagen support and implementation team for system administration and is not assigned to customer users.
If you are unsure which role is appropriate for a new user, your account manager can advise based on what they need access to.
