Understanding risk evaluation and residual risks

During development of the Ideagen NMT, a risk evaluation according to IEC 61010-1 2010 was conducted to evaluate and prevent safety-critical items. However, some residual risks cannot be precluded, so you must observe the following safety instructions.

Operating in safe environments

To ensure safe operation of the Ideagen NMT:

Danger: Do not use the Ideagen NMT in explosive atmosphere, near flammable products, or near corrosive products.

Handling and transporting the equipment

The cases of the Ideagen mobile NMT are heavy and require careful handling during transportation.

To handle the equipment safely:

Wear safety shoes when handling, holding, or lifting the cases.

To transport the equipment:

Do not lift using the extendable handle.

Secure the Ideagen NMT against tilting during transport and when installed onsite.

Turn off the Ideagen NMT before transportation.
Keep the lid or door closed during transportation.

To position the main case and battery case during transportation:

Transport in horizontal position (laid flat) for stability.
Stack cases if needed during transportation.

Caution: The equipment is heavy. It is stable when laid flat but can be unstable if laid upright. Transportation in horizontal position is recommended.

Storing the equipment

To store the main case and battery case:

Store in horizontal position (laid flat).
Stack cases if needed for storage.

Note: Stacking is possible for storage.

Operating in wet conditions

To protect the equipment from water damage:

Do not open the case (main case or battery case) in rain, particularly if the Ideagen NMT is turned on and connected to the mains.

Do not use the Ideagen NMT with the lid opened and connection to the mains or battery, except by a qualified operator.
Never operate with the lid open in the presence of rain or mist.

Warning: Do not use the Ideagen NMT with the lid opened and power connected, except by a qualified operator, and under no circumstances in the presence of rain or mist.

Securing unattended equipment

To secure the NMT when left unattended with power supply:

Use the provided locks on the main case.
