Installing the Ideagen NMT

No special access or permissions are required.
This article explains how to install the Ideagen mobile and fixed Noise Monitoring Terminal (NMT), including setup requirements, safety considerations, and post-installation checks.
Installing the mobile NMT
Important: Read the Safety information chapter (chapter 3) before proceeding with installation.
The Ideagen mobile NMT is ready to use when delivered. Installation only requires connection to power supply (see power supply modes at 4.3).
To install the mobile NMT:
- Place the Main Case and Battery Case in a horizontal position (laid flat) on a flat, stable surface.
- Ballast the microphone tripod.
Note: Stacking is not recommended for operation.
Important: If fixing the equipment to a wall, use suitable fixings to ensure the equipment is firmly and reliably fixed. Check the strength of the supporting wall beforehand.
Installing the fixed NMT
Important: A Ideagen fixed NMT must be installed either by Ideagen or by a qualified professional electrician with appropriate specialist training and qualifications, in accordance with all relevant documentation and safety instructions.
Important: Read the Safety information chapter (chapter 3) before installation.
Follow all applicable electrical safety standards, guidelines, specifications and regulations for installation, wiring and operations of the Ideagen NMT.
The fixed NMT installation consists of:
- Installing and fixing the cabinet
- Installing and fixing the microphone mast
- Installing and connecting the microphone and microphone cable
- Connection to power supply
- Closing all cable passages
Important: If fixing the equipment to a wall, use suitable fixings to ensure all guidelines are met and that the equipment is firmly and reliably fixed. Check the strength of the supporting wall beforehand.
Note: The fixing of the microphone mast should be reviewed in advance.
Completing the electrical installation
To complete the electrical installation:
- Ensure all power supplies and the external battery are disconnected.
- Install and wire the NMT according to the wiring diagrams.
- Switch on the power supply and other related circuits.
Performing an acoustic check after installation
An acoustic check is necessary once the whole sound level meter set is connected.
To perform the acoustic check:
- Refer to instructions at 8.5 to proceed.
Note: For a brand new sound level meter (SLM) or when replacing a microphone, there is normally no need to proceed to a sensitivity adjustment. The acoustic check procedure allows you to check and validate that the whole measurement chain is working well.
Initialising CalCheck
To initialise CalCheck from the mobile maintenance app:
- Go to the NMT list menu.
- Select the NMT.
- Go to the Commands menu.
- Press calcheck.
- Go to the System Log menu.
- Wait a minute for results to be displayed.

Installer le NMT mobile
Important : Lisez attentivement les instructions de ce manuel d'utilisation avant de procéder à l'installation du Ideagen mobile NMT. En particulier, lisez le chapitre Informations de sécurité (chapitre 3).
Le Ideagen mobile NMT est prêt à l'emploi à la livraison. L'installation ne nécessite qu'un raccordement à l'alimentation électrique (voir les modes d'alimentation au point 4.3).
Pour installer le NMT mobile :
- Installez la valise principale et la valise batterie impérativement en position horizontale (posées à plat), sur une surface plane, horizontale et stable.
- Évitez l'empilement pour le fonctionnement.
- Si vous devez fixer les équipements sur un mur, utilisez des éléments de fixation appropriés pour respecter toutes les consignes susmentionnées, tout en assurant une fixation ferme et fiable.
- Vérifiez la solidité du mur de soutien au préalable.
- Lestez le trépied du microphone.
Installer le NMT fixe
Important : Un NMT Ideagen fixe doit être installé soit par Ideagen, soit par un électricien professionnel qualifié ou une personne ayant une formation/qualification spécialisée appropriée, conformément à toute la documentation et aux instructions de sécurité.
Remarque : Respectez toutes les normes, directives, spécifications et réglementations applicables en matière de sécurité électrique pour l'installation, le câblage et la mise en fonctionnement de la NMT Casper.
Lisez attentivement ce manuel d'utilisation Ideagen NMT avant de procéder à l'installation. En particulier, lisez les Informations de sécurité (chapitre 3).
L'installation de la NMT Ideagen fixe consiste à :
- Installer et fixer le coffret
- Installer et fixer le mât du microphone
- Installer et connecter le microphone et le câble du microphone
- Connecter à l'alimentation électrique
- Fermer tous les passages de câbles
Remarque : La fixation du mât du microphone doit faire l'objet d'une revue préalable.
Important : Si les équipements doivent être fixés sur un mur, utilisez des éléments de fixation appropriés pour respecter toutes les consignes susmentionnées, tout en assurant une fixation ferme et fiable. Vérifiez la solidité du mur de soutien au préalable.
Effectuer l'installation électrique
Pour effectuer l'installation électrique :
- Assurez-vous que toutes les alimentations électriques et la batterie externe sont déconnectées.
- Installez et câblez la NMT conformément aux schémas de câblage.
- Après avoir effectué les étapes précédentes, mettez sous tension l'alimentation électrique et les autres circuits connexes.
Effectuer une vérification acoustique après l'installation
Une vérification acoustique est nécessaire une fois que le sonomètre est entièrement connecté.
Remarque : Pour un SLM neuf (également en cas de remplacement d'un microphone), il n'est en principe pas nécessaire de procéder à un ajustage de la sensibilité. La vérification acoustique permet de vérifier et de valider le bon fonctionnement de l'ensemble de la chaîne de mesure.
Pour effectuer la vérification acoustique :
- Reportez-vous aux instructions de la section 8.5.
Initialiser CalCheck
Pour initialiser CalCheck depuis l'application de maintenance mobile :
- Dans le menu Liste des stations, sélectionnez la NMT.
- Allez dans le menu Commandes.
- Appuyez sur calcheck.
- Allez dans le menu Journal du système.
- Attendez une minute pour que les résultats apparaissent (vous devrez peut-être actualiser votre navigateur web).
- Vérifiez qu'une ligne « Calibration check failed » apparaît.
- Cliquez sur Update values.
- Cliquez sur Update all.
- Vérifiez qu'une nouvelle ligne apparaît dans le Journal du système.

Installieren des mobile NMT

Positionierung von Hauptschrank und Batteriegehäuse:
- Unbedingt in horizontaler Position (flach liegend) für den Betrieb, auf einer ebenen, horizontalen und stabilen Fläche
- Das Stapeln wird für den Betrieb nicht empfohlen
Hinweis: Wenn das Equipment senkrecht befestigt werden soll, verwenden Sie geeignete Befestigungsmittel, um sicherzustellen, dass alle oben genannten Richtlinien eingehalten werden und dass das Equipment sicher befestigt ist. Prüfen Sie vorher die Festigkeit der tragenden Wand.
Das Mikrofonstativ muss mit Ballast versehen werden.
Installieren des fixed NMT
Wichtig: Ein Ideagen Fixed NMT muss entweder von Ideagen oder von einem qualifizierten Elektriker oder einer Person mit entsprechender Fachausbildung/Qualifikation in Übereinstimmung mit allen relevanten Unterlagen und Sicherheitsanweisungen installiert werden.
Befolgen Sie alle geltenden elektrischen Sicherheitsstandards, Richtlinien, Spezifikationen und Vorschriften für die Installation, die Verkabelung und den Betrieb des Ideagen NMT. Lesen Sie dieses Ideagen NMT Betriebshandbuch vor der Installation sorgfältig durch, insbesondere das Kapitel Sicherheitshinweise (Kapitel 3).
Die feste NMT-Installation von Ideagen besteht aus folgenden Schritten:
- Installation und Befestigung des Gehäuses
- Installation und Befestigung des Mikrofonmastes
- Installation und Anschluss des Mikrofons und des Mikrofonkabels
- Anschluss an das Stromnetz
- Verschließen aller Kabeldurchlässe
Wichtig: Wenn das Gerät an einer Wand befestigt werden soll, verwenden Sie geeignete Befestigungsmittel, um sicherzustellen, dass alle oben genannten Richtlinien eingehalten werden und das Gerät fest und zuverlässig befestigt ist. Prüfen Sie vorher die Festigkeit der tragenden Wand.
Hinweis: Die Befestigung des Mikrofonmastes sollte im Voraus überprüft werden.
Durchführen der elektrischen Installation
Um die elektrische Installation durchzuführen:
- Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Stromversorgungen und die externe Batterie abgeklemmt sind.
- Installieren und verdrahten Sie den NMT gemäß den Schaltplänen.
- Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung und andere zugehörige Stromkreise ein.
Durchführen einer akustischen Überprüfung nach der Installation
Sobald das gesamte Schallpegelmessgerät angeschlossen ist, muss eine akustische Überprüfung durchgeführt werden. Siehe 8.5 zum weiteren Vorgehen.
Hinweis: Bei einem fabrikneuen SLM (auch beim Austausch eines Mikrofons) ist es normalerweise nicht erforderlich, eine Empfindlichkeitsanpassung vorzunehmen. Das akustische Prüfverfahren ermöglicht es, zu überprüfen und zu bestätigen, dass die gesamte Messkette gut funktioniert.
Initialisieren von CalCheck
Um CalCheck zu initialisieren:
- Wählen Sie im Menü NMT ÜBERSICHT den NMT aus.
- Gehen Sie zum Menü Commands.
- Drücken Sie Calcheck.
- Rufen Sie das Menü System log auf.
- Warten Sie eine Minute, bis die Ergebnisse angezeigt werden.
